Exchange on giving & Receiving

It was my very first time being invited by the Saigon Businessmen Club to give a speech to 200 students of Hoa Sen University, It was for the occasion of Luong Van Can Talent Awards which was launched by the Business newspaper to promote the search of young business talent.

In addition to my prepared text on the subject of "Enhancing" the Vietnamese people, in the areas of soft skills, equipping in the commercial world, building of cultural and business ethics. We had to be attentive to fully understand the thoughts, the concern and the questions from the enthusiastic students. I felt that the students now, though many are equipped with knowledge, academically and are very fortunate to have easily accessible knowledge of the world over the internet. But there is a difference between understanding and putting the theory into practice in life and work. It seems to highlight the statement of "only on the desk," which makes their knowledge somewhat far removed from the reality of today's society.

The audience was captivated and moved by the sharing from prominent business leaders.  Ms Phan Thi Tuyet Mai - GM of Tai Nguyen Seafoods struggles in her career brought tears to the audience. Master Tran Anh Tuan’s academic skills and nature and his authentic, wit, filled with the knowledge culled from experience through the years of running the business and teaching in the university of Mr Lai Minh Duy – GM of TST tour company. They produced a spirit of exchange - to give and receive.

As this weekend, I am not too occupied with company’s operations because of my capable team  in production, I was able to "transform" and take on the role of marketing NEW TOYO’s image – as an FDI enterprise established in culture and business ethics.

I hope in sharing my experience with the students I will able to make a positive impact on the younger generation.
