Was born and grew up in the city named Uncle – a prominent and beloved leader of the people of Vietnam, I was fortunate to witness its gradual transition, the change over each stage, each period of the city which was named as the dynamic and sentimental locality.
The constructions of transportation infrastructure and architecture went into the history and development period of world economic integration as East-West Highway, Thu Thiem Tunnel, Phu Long Bridge, lotus shaped financial tower Bitexco rising in the heart of the city, magnificent shopping center Vincom, residential area of Saigon South…which have become the gems, the pride of the people of the city in particular and the country in general, making the expatriates away from home go from surprise to surprise after each return visit to homeland.
A rising young people who love freedom and individuality, creativity expressed by the difference, dare commitment to pursue passion gradually appear and be social and public recognition, through entertainment programs on television as “Viet Nam Idol”, “The Voice”, “So you think u can dance” has attracted millions of viewers hours every weekend night.
I love the city although there is not modern and convenient metro system yet as in special areas such as Hong Kong; complex amusement park as “fantasy world” as Ever Green and Disney Land in Korea, Tokyo; wonderful works as 101- floor tower in Taipei; extravaganza shopping Mall as Siam Paragon in Bangkok, ION in Singapore ... but I believe that in a near future, the city will “change its look” again thanks to market demand and innovation of city leaders with the ability to realize the dreams, the desires to live and dedicate of entrepreneurs successors, with the ability to master science and technology of generation of workers with specialized knowledge and attitudes of environmental cooperation in multi-ethnic work. All mixed, blended into a strength, a confidence for a country, a city is more beautiful and bigger as the words instructed in the will of President Ho Chi Minh.
