World Environment Day 2010

On the World environment day June 5, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations with Viet Trademark Magazine celebrated The environment and our responsibility workshop by carrying out the 3rd Green trademark 2010 award ceremony at the South Department of National Congress office. The ceremony was to give recognition to 100 enterprises that had actively contributed to environmental development and protection, all of whom had been verified by the authorities after stringent environmental assessment.

"Green trademark” is a national award that has only been recently introduced but it has an extremely important meaning when the environment is now being seriously trespassed by businesses for profit.

This award was presented by three levels from low to high (1> 3) as follows: 

1. Friendly green trademark

2. Developed green trademark

3. Sustainable green trademark 

Those companies were appreciated by practical actions in the promotion of collective strength to preserve a green, clean and beautiful environment; using of measures to minimize the discharge of hazardous substances without treatment into environment; boldly combining to replace backward technology by friendly environment technology.

Organizing committee has honored businesses awarded and also encourages other businesses to allocate a portion of their profits towards the development and protection of the environmental for a long term benefit.

In the recent years, the leaders of New Toyo Vietnam identified the importance of environmental protection and had set it as one of the company’s main objectives. This is achieved through the implementation of an environmental friendly manufacturing process that produces harmless products, thereby creating a green, clean and nice work space.

These efforts begin to show results and in the morning of June 4, 2010, Ms Nhan Huc Quan, the General manager on behalf of New Toyo(Vietnam) received the “ Sustainable green trademark in 2010”. Moving forward, the New Toyo (Vietnam) would continue the drive towards creating even greater awareness of environmental protection for New Toyo (Vietnam) staffs and business partners.
